From music, movies, sports, fashion and all the crazies in my life here is where you will find all of things I love to laugh at LOUDLY.

Beyoncé released the pictures of her newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter last week. Although, the singer and husband rapper Jay-Z were offered millions to by media outlets for the pictures Beyoncé refused. Now that Blue Ivy is here what is Bey going to do? Have two new children! No not actual babies but albums. Beyoncé has already started working on two new albums to released either this year or next year. Ryan Tedder who produced “Halo,” has already had comversations with the singer about what’s next. Tedder was quoted saying, “The conversation about her new album just happened.” The singer turned actress is also in the production stage of remaking the fourth rendition of the Barbra Streisand fill “A Star is Born” with film legend Clint Eastwood. I thought it would br a while before we would see any new Bey material. It seems that Beyoncé still has the same work ethic with a mic in one hand and a baby in the other. Undoubtedly, she is still at the top of her game. The deluxe edition of fourth solo album “4” can now also be downloaded on iTunes after being released exclusively at Target.

Lady GaGa is one few artist in popular music today who is known for giving a good live performance. Fans from around the world travel to see her as I like to call it “pop, lock, and dropping it.” This past week, the GaGa released the tour dates for the European leg of the “Born This Way Ball.” Named after her platinum selling album “Born This Way,” the tour will most likely project the same ideals of the empowerment of ones-self. She seems to becoming more and more involved with a lot of the social issues & injustices are country faces today. First by doing a “It Gets Better” video fight against suicide in gay teens, and is starting a “Born This Way” foundation. The tour is expected to gross more than half of two hundred million her “Monster Ball” tour raked in. I didn’t partake in that ball but did watch the concert DVD. I have to say she was hot mess! Alcoholism, loud music, cursing, sexual innuendos, and whole lot of “mo” loving everything I love in my rock stars. Everything I choose not to partake in, thank you GaGa I vicariously live through you.

Sadly, American “Little Monsters” will have to wait another year. The ball won’t be coming to America until 2013. Am I sad about not seeing Lady GaGa for a year? NO! This is a good opportunity for GaGa & the Haus. GaGa will now have the chance to perform and make necessary changes before performing it in her home country. Giving her Little Monsters nothing but perfection! It will also being interesting to see the difference in artistry, structure, and choreo in the tour after she fired her creative director Laurieann Gibson from the Haus. I’m not going to say amicable split, that’s stupid they weren’t in a relationship she was fired. Gibson was with GaGa from the beginning till the “split.” I’m sad to see her go she choreographed The GaGa’s most iconic videos from “Poker Face to “Bad Romance” which is my favorite. In the end looking back at Gibson career three words come to mind…Making the Band. Enough said. GaGa hired Gibson’s assistant Richie Jackson, his first job “Marry the Night” music video. No comment.

In other news, I wasn’t happy with the promotional posters & stage design. I know what your thinking it’s not my world tour. SO! It almost took a life of it own and that can be a good or a bad thing. If I’m going to pay top dollar I expect magic not White Castle. Stefani Germanotta always ends up on top, will see what the “Free Bi**h” does! The GaGa I’m coming for you government hooker see you in a year. FYI I will not be wearing any type of latex, blood, or aluminum on my body. You will most likely cover that enough for me and them some!

It’s that time of the year again. A day dreaded more than Friday 13th or the presidential election….Valentine’s Day. For some it’s a joyous occasion for us to spend little to insane amounts of money on that special person in ours lives. From stuffed animals that will eventually get tossed. Or candies that we regret eating because we made a New Years resolution to stop eating the devil that is chocolate. For others Valentine’s day is a reminder that “Here’s to be alone for another year.” No gifts, fancy dinners, or even card with that creepy guy from the Office on it. I am not saying this applies to everyone but there seems to be a lot of  “Jar Hearts”walking around.

If only Valentine’s Day was like what elementary school children experience. The teacher would give out a list, parents would by stuff, and the kids would pass them out. No one feels left of the “inner circle” of Valentine’s Day. Only if those children knew that fifteen years down the line that list no longer exist. And if even if it did there not on it. Oopsie….

So for all those with a Valentine, congratulations you are in the circle. Cherish that teddy bear and eat those chocolates. Because one day your in and the next day your are OUT. Unless your married or engaged and that’s a whole different post in itself. Your stuck! For those who are carrying around a “Jar of Hearts” leaves those alone who still have theirs. Just make fun of them behind closed doors. And for those who are sulking take Christina Perri off repeat go buy yourself some chocolates and a teddy. At least your alive silly!

Adele performing "Rolling in the Deep" at 2012 Grammy's.

After watching tortured maids, bizarre families, and baseball coaches win it all at the Oscars, SAG’s, and Golden Globes the biggest night in music had finally arrived. No I’m not talking about the BET awards. The crème dele crème or music gathered for the 2012 Grammy Awards. If anyone didn’t know that Adele was #winning, they definitely did after the Grammy’s! Adele made her debut back into the spotlight after recovering from throat surgery that could have left her voiceless. The “Someone Like You” singer wasn’t allowed to sing or even talk for two months. Adele got a standing ovation from the crowd after singing her charting topping hit “Rolling in the Deep” without gimmicks, weird colored hair, and atheistic subliminal messaging. The entire auditoroum of her peers including Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lady GaGa gave the singer a standing ovation. Adele would give one of the most memorable acceptance speeches of the night laughing at the snot dripping from her nose. Her nominations included Best Song, Best Pop Vocal Performance, and Album of the Year. She went on to win all of them Congratulations Adele!

Over the pas couple of weeks fans around the world have been pining for the return of Britney Spears and Lady GaGa. With the success of the previous albums “Circus” & the “The Fame Monster” everyone wondered what could these two mainstream artist do next. Britney Spears a veteran in the pop music world, released a techno pop dance track “Hold It Against Me.” The single debuted at number on the billboard charts and was the number #1 single on the iTunes charts. Although, the music industry wasn’t used to hearing these types of music from Ms. Spears, people couldn’t stop asking “Would you hold it against me?” Gaga on the other hand, didn’t release her song “Born This Way” but she did release her lyrics. Making fans wait for another few weeks. Britney continued to hold the charts down. Leaving fans to question what kind of video would Britney release. After seeing 30 million video clips, I personally want a hot dance video. Britney is known for having some of the best choreographed videos. So I’m expecting nothing but hotness. With the clips of the video out there, Lady Gaga finally releases her song! I was pumped. I hadn’t heard anything, read anything, and I was pumped for the return of The GaGa.  After listening to a snippet on iTunes, I was turned off by what I was listening to. With a title like “Born This Way,” I thought it was going to be hard, rough, and edgy. The snippet I listened to had none of that. As a GaGa fan I have to say I was little disappointed. So a 24 hours later I decided to give the song another chance it’s number #1 in 20 something countries….it couldn’t be that bad! After listening a second time, I’m still not impressed with this song. I hold GaGa to higher standard. When you have hits like “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and “Alejandro” releasing a song like “Born This Way” is not an option. There is a debate between the fans of Lady Gaga vs. Britney of which is better? Being a fan of both of them, I would have to go with Britney. “Born This Way” doesn’t give me “life!” I think HIAM is a better thought out first single. I hope the rest of the GaGa fans don’t “Hold It Against Me!”

“Lakers show Celtics were to put their Clovers”

Last year when the LA Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics in the NBA Championship it came to no surprise. Tonight the Lakers faced the Celtics in their home court in Boston, Massachusetts. In the first half, it seemed as if the Lakers had given up on winning before game started. Missing passes, taking shots with no fall through, and giving the Celtics every possible rebound. Kobe had only 2 points after two quarters of playing time. It was a disaster! Lakers head Coach Phil Jackson, must have given the biggest pep talk around during the half. Congratulations to Ray Allen for beating the record for the most number of threes made in a season. The previous record holder, Reggie Miller was there announcing. Although it would have been nice for him to break the record and win….The Lakers came back and showed us why they are one of the best teams in the league, if not the best. Kobe ending with 23 points, gave it his all in the end. With help from one of my favorite Kardashians Lamar Odom, Derrick Fisher, and Pau Gasol. The Lakers defeated the Celtics, 92-86! GO LAKERS!!!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged but I couldn’t let this go unrecognized. The file sharing musical icon Lime Wire is now dead. The hardest thing about this tragedy is I haven’t downloaded the new Glee soundtrack. It would have been nice to receive a notice or at least a complimentary iTunes gift card. Music isn’t a cheap hobby it’s not like you can buy The Blue Print 3 by Jay Z for the “Eight Track” sitting in your parent’s basement. Those who got to be Limewire in it’s final hours are lucky. I guess those CD’s in the Walmart section will get dusted off. This isn’t the first time a source of “free media” has been taken away from me. Over the summer my favorite movie viewing site Watch Free Movies was taken over by the U.S government.

It seems the government has been shutting down a lot of things Americans find enjoyable. I wouldn’t be surprised if next week Dr. Pepper was taken of the shelved and banded. (sarcasm) By the way I just jumped on the DP band wagaon on the summer and it’s to legit to quit. Although, I wouldn’t trade a DP for Justin Beiber album from Lime Wire. I would suggest that music lovers get a subscription of some sort. Maybe it’s time for America to pay for the music we listen to. Maybe it’s time for Artist to make there music cheaper. I will admit the only artist I still buy the actual CD’s for are Beyonce. She’s an ICON. I can’t help that her music gives me life and feeds my soul. Readers I have to go I have to go to F.Y.E (another failing source of music) and pick up the last Jersey Shore soundtrack….Fist Pump! R.I.P Limewire it’s been good knowing you…shall we say a prayer?

Thanks,

Brandon

This summer I have listened to a lot of music. I have all different types of friends with different types of music taste. From jamming on a road trip, chilling out in the condo, or just mellowing out after long stressful day at work. Some of these songs have some sentimental value and other are just songs with a funny lyric.

  2. “All The Right Moves” One Republic
  3. “Airplanes” B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams
  4. “Telephone” Lady GaGa & Beyoncé

  8. “My First Kiss” 30H!3 ft. Ke$ha
  9. “Billionaire” Travis McCoy ft. Bruno Mars
  10. “Commander” Kelly Rowland ft. David Guetta
  11. “Hey Soul Sister” Train
  12. “Unwritten” Natasha Beddingfield
  13. “Breakeven” The Script

  22. “Temporary Home” Carrie Underwood
  23. “Sexy Back” Justin Timberlake
  24. “Bad Romance” Lady GaGa
  25. “Boots N Boys” Ke$ha

There is it my summer playlist in all it’s glory. Some of these songs are my personal favorites and other were forced upon me. No I didn’t catch “bieber fever” I actually despise his music. But I have good friends like Athena and Spencer to remind that Justin Beiber is not just another American fad ike the Jersey Shore. That’s another topic for another time. But if we have artist like Ke$ha who keep making music that fills the heart of Americans with meaning. We will be just fine.

Brandon.
